The Art Institute of Vancouver Library carries many Fashion resources that cover a variety of topics such as fashion history, marketing and branding, visual merchandising, textiles, pattern making and draping, fashion forecasting, designers, and much much more. LIBRARY DATABASES

The Art Institute of Vancouver Library is proud to offer a collection of excellent databases and online resources that Fashion instructors and students can use. These resources are available for you to use at any of The Art Institute of Vancouver campuses or remotely from home for your study, research, work, and leisure needs.

  • The Berg Fashion Library is a unique online portal which offers fully cross-searchable access to an expanding range of Berg content collections – including the Berg Encyclopedia of World Dress and Fashion online, e-books, reference works, images, and much more.

    Over 500K high quality stock imagery. Students may download up to 50 high-resolution images and an unlimited number of low-resolution imagery per quarter.   • WWD.com (Women's Wear Daily) - Full access available from Campus only. Limited remote/home access.
    WWD is the leading authority for news and trends in the worlds of fashion, beauty and retail, featuring daily headlines and breaking news from all Women's Wear Daily publications..
MEDIA COLLECTIONS (DVDs, Sound Effects, Stock Footage, etc.)
  • DIGITAL JUICE (DJ) Sound Effects, Animation, Stock Footage, and more. The Digital Juice collection is housed on 2 computers at our Burnaby Library location, and at our Renfrew Location. Explore the DJ hyperlinks to learn more about the collection and find the media that you want. Click on the library/DVD of interest and view the Gallery tab on the DJ website to preview the media. To make things easier for yourself, write down the DVD name and number that you find online, and file number of your media clips and bring that with you to the library
