The Art Institute of Vancouver Library carries many Web & IMD resources that cover topics such as scripting, usability & design, layout, HTML, PHP, and more. The Web & IMD collection an be found at both library locations in Burnaby and at the Renfrew campus downtown. LIBRARY DATABASES

The Art Institute of Vancouver Library is proud to offer a collection of excellent databases and online resources that Photography instructors and students can use. These resources are available for you to use at any of The Art Institute of Vancouver campuses or remotely from home for your study, research, work, and leisure needs.

**Please note that you must obtain the necessary Access USER IDs & Passwords from the library to use these resources.  Please drop by at any Art Institute of Vancouver Library location, call, or email the library staff to obtain the necessary information.**

  • Getty Images - If you have already signed-up for Getty Images, contact library for access codes. Otherwise, *Sign-up* for Getty Images.
    Getty Images User Guide (PDF)
    Over 500K high quality stock imagery. Students may download up to 50 high-resolution images and an unlimited number of low-resolution imagery per quarter. Images are for educational purposes only and using them for any commercial (even non-profit) or non-coursework or non-portfolio related purposes is strictly prohibited.
  • Killer Tracks
    Killer Tracks User Guide (PDF)
    Post-production audio resource. Users may download or stream audio clips ONLY from the NJJ library, discs 101 to the most current Killer Tracks CDs, and discs 185 to the most recent Network Music CDs. Clips may be included in non-broadcast audio, video, digital media, corporate intranet, and/or closed circuit communications productions. Killer Tracks MUST NOT BE USED IN ANY PRODUCTION THAT IS SOLD!

MEDIA COLLECTIONS (DVD's, Sound Effects, Stock Footage, etc.)
  • DIGITAL JUICE (DJ)Sound Effects, Animation, Stock Footage, and more. The Digital Juice collection is housed on 2 computers at our Burnaby Library location, and at our Renfrew Library Location. Explore the DJ hyperlinks to learn more about the collection and find the media that you want. Click on the library/DVD of interest and view the Gallery tab on the DJ website to preview the media. To make things easier for yourself, write down the DVD name and number that you find online, and file number of your media clips and bring that with you to the library.
